Boomers, beware. Beyond a certain age, your walking cane cane, however so humble, will become an extension of yourself, a complete life-support system and constant companion, perhaps more valuable to your health than the dozen or so pills you will gulp as part of your morning ministrations.
Be warned: should that sturdy stick disappear without explanation you will find yourself in agony, despairing over its whereabouts and perhaps in the resulting confusion find yourself in mortal danger without an arm to lend support.
